Ingredients

Salad

  • 6 cups cooked Nu Life Market’s Pearled Sorghum Grain
  • 1 cup Broccoli, chopped
  • ½ cup Carrots, shredded
  • 1 small can Sliced Olives
  • 1 Cucumber, chopped
  • ½ cup Celery, chopped
  • ½ medium Red Onion, sliced
  • 1 cup Grape Tomatoes, sliced

Dressing

  • ½ cup Vinegar
  • ½ cup Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp Water
  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • 2 tsp Oregano
  • ¼ tsp Pepper
  • ¼ tsp Thyme
  • ¼ tsp dried Basil
  • 2 tsp dried Parsley
  • ½ tbsp Salt

Instructions

In a mason jar or small sealable container combine all the ingredients for the dressing. Place in the refrigerator to chill. In a large mixing bowl combine all the ingredients for the salad. Top with the desired amount of dressing and mix well. Chill and serve.

Gluten Free Pearled Sorghum Grain

How to Cook Our Pearled Sorghum Grain

Combine ½ cup of pearled grain sorghum with 1½ cups of water in a glass bowl. Place in microwave on HIGH for 14 to 16 minutes or until desired texture is reached. Stir once halfway through cook time. Drain and rinse with cool water. (Cook time based on 1200 watt microwave. Adjust time as needed based on wattage of your microwave.)

Shelf Life

Store in sealed container in a cool, dry place for up to one year.
